Intro: GeddesPhysics Laboratories has been contacted by “Clowns Inc.” to assist them with a new addition to their program.  Clowns Inc., an entertainment group that travels to county and state fairs throughout the United States, hopes to add to their program the excitement of a human cannonball.   They would like to have their human cannonball fly through a hoop at the peak of the motion and require our assistance to accomplish this most entertaining feat.  

Purpose:
The purpose of this lab is to come up with a position for a net to catch the person we are shooting. We also have to position a ring that the person goes through at the peak.

Equiptment: To show how our human cannonball would fly through a ring and on to a perfectly positioned net, we are using the SCRATCH program.

For this simulation, we had to compute realistic velocities and distances for a human Cannon. The Cannon shoots at an initial velocity of 44 m/s and the person travels 200 meters in the x direction. Talk about entertainment!! With this extra special awesome human cannon, you'll have spectators coming from miles to see your show. Our TEKK engineering team calculated all of the distances and velocities to such perfection that you could not fail with this machine. The cannon shoots at a 45 degree angle and the human cannonball will be shot straight through a hoop at its peak, which is 100 meters from the cannon and 84.3 meters tall.
